Pan American Health Organisation píše jen o v podstatě neexistujících zarděnkách: Diseases preventable by immunization: In 1997, there were 144 confirmed cases of rubella in comparison with 2 cases in 1998. There were two serologically confirmed cases of Congenital Rubella Syndrome in 1997, two in 1998, and one suspected case in 1999 but the serological test for rubella was negative.

A ještě tohle, o dětech pod 1 rok: In the period 1997-1999, the leading causes of death were intestinal infectious diseases (21%), acute respiratory infections (17%) and undetermined injury (13%).
